The Ryzen 9 7950X3D was the first 16-core X3D chip, with 3D V-Cache on one of its two Zen 4 dies and higher-clocked cores on the other.
It relies on AMD's chipset drivers to keep games on the cache die, so keep them current. It is efficient for a 16-core chip, but for pure gaming the eight-core 7800X3D and 9800X3D are as fast or faster for less.
